Santa Rosa Fires

Fountain Grove, near Santa Rosa yesterday. We're not in any danger (so far), but it makes me realize how vulnerable we are in this part of the world. 15 dead so far, Santa Rosa devastated. Winds down today but air still smoky here, 60 miles from nearest fire.

Will keep you in our thoughts to stay such.

(Just in case....do you have essentials packed to go?)

I too am glad you and Lesley are okay and yes it is good to have a bug out bag. There is just no way to predict when you might need it and the fires of the last few days have proved that. But knowing how resourceful you've always been, I expect you are prepared.

The reports that it could very possibly be from the electric company's lack of equipment maintenance is equally scary. I had no idea how many incidents have already occcured due to same.
