The car of my dream world.
We just bought one, and without going too crazy in hypermiling, I get around 46 or 47 mpg on the highway and if I don't get stuck in traffic, about 38 to 42 mpg in town. Not bad for a lower priced gas car.

I have owned a diesel model for a while now (sorry you don't get the diesel version in the US - I'm in Canada) and average between 65 and 70 mpg (about the same in town or on the highway). Better fuel mileage than my motorcycle. Plus it still starts a conversation wherever I go.
