Greenough Surfboats

George Greenough, the ultimate Waterman, who was the first photographer to get inside a curl with movie camera (on kneeboard), designed a series of super little fast surfer-friendly boats. Anyone know of one for sale?

From Tiny Homes to tiny sea craft. Working on getting you a connect on these.

I have forwarded your Shelter email address thru some friends to the people that make these boats now. Best of luck!

George Greenough. I adore that guy. It was never just surfing for George. I think he lives in Australia now, just up the coast a few hours from here. Thanks.

Thanks for tip on Tolman Alaskan skiff. Looks pretty similar. George does live in Australia. I talked to him on the phone about a year ago. He has a pyramid-shaped house, which I thought might go into the tiny homes book, but it slipped through the cracks.

You can still buy a Greenough from Anderson Boats in Goleta CA. They make a 17, 21 and 27 ft models. Also, check out craigslist in the SB area and other fishing sites like bloodydecks.com (they pop up there from time to time.

Thanks Anon,
You just look at these boats and know they're at home with the ocean (and waves). Trouble is, they seem to be as pricey as they are cool.
