On the way home from the concert on entrance to 50th Street subway station: Lady of the hour.
Great article on Gaga in Sunday New York Times by Jon Pareles. He understands her and is a good writer. By contrast, a snarky and semi-snide review of her new album, Born This Way in USA Today this morning, Monday May 23rd, by Elysa Gardner. Get over it, Elysa! See ya tomorrow.

i love elvis costello and put him up there as being one of the best if not the best concert i have ever been to. and nyc - lucky enough to have been there too. wow. coming from little ol' auckland................ and the gaga - well i might have to warm up to that one but our 14 year old daughter is most excited that you give her a tick. hey, one more thing - loved the trip to louie's - thanks. enjoy the big apple!
Your NYC venture is making me feel like such a MORON. I live a ferry ride away from the city and haven't been there in 20 years! You're showing me what I'm missing. I'm from New Joisy (does that explain things?)
H! I was a cocktail waitress at the Riveria Theater in Chicago mid 80's. Elvis Costello came thru and needed go go dancers for his stage cage. I did the deed. Funny to see he still has a go go dancer in a cage!
