House Republicans solicit lobbyists help in overturning clean air regulations

Read it and weep (or get busy):
"The newly empowered Republicans in the House aren’t wasting any time making good on their pledge to throttle the Environmental Protection Agency.

"On the first full day of legislative business, House Republicans introduced measures on Wednesday to block the environmental agency’s proposed regulation of greenhouse gases and new rules limiting toxic air emissions from cement factories.…

"Representative Darrell Issa, Republican of California and new chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has asked lobbyists and trade organizations to identify the federal rules they would most like to see overturned, and the E.P.A.’s air quality regulations were high on the list.…"

I moved off grid and disconnected TV as I was turning into a crazy woman yelling at the TV. The Bush years almost did me in! Well big business is getting what they paid for...

...and the USS Titanic continues to steam full speed ahead, through a section of ocean littered not only with icebergs, but also with mines.

It's just a matter of time before all this stupidity catches up with us.

Well, there goes the potential for the American bottled air industry. Guess we'll have to import that from China too.
Actually it remains to be seen what the Republicans can accomplish, if anything, but this was a stupid one to start with as a symbolic gesture. They have just lost credibility with the entire world.

Seriously...?

Why on earth would the general public ever agree with these clowns?

"Oh, no! You big gubmint better not keep the cement factory down the street from poisoning me and my family!"

What's wrong with us?
