Dining table made of recycled wood

I shot a bunch of photos around our house for my talk at the solar energy festival last weekend, but there was no electrical hookup, so I'll post a few here now and then. I've made a number of tables out of used 2" Douglas Fir floor joists. We eat meals at this table, and look out at the constantly-changing bird world on the ground, in the bushes, at the finch feeder, bathing in the bird bath.

That looks a wonderful table to eat at. Reminds me of Wharton Eshrick's. Like the chairs too, is the old Windsor closest to the camera English?

This picture reminds me of my father’s first project with the drill bits that i have given him when I got my very first salary. My father is a builder and it is so amazing on how he turns scrap into something very attractive and very useful. I think that is the beauty of having the complete tools to help you makes things done fast and easy.
