"…a pair of sea-shipping containers radically converted into a single on-land dwelling. A local train yard and a few hundred dollars can buy you a few five-thousand-pound insulated metal boxes. And at that price, who would not be tempted to plan their new home around shipping container-sized units?
Paul Stankey (and family) not only bought his structural materials on the cheap, but also used simple do-it-yourself processes to construct his cargo container house step by simple step – starting with pipes to leverage the containers off of the trailer attached to his truck"

this house is so ugly. I'm usually so excited to see what you have daily, but this one. NOT. love the log cabin though. I know, "affordable" but maybe a paint job would help, or some good graffiti.?
Irene, You're right, pretty ugly, but I like the idea of popping up an addition in the middle, plus being up off the ground. Can give people ideas.
That's right. Its not pleasing to look at but sometimes, something that is ugly outside is beautiful inside.
In the first place this house is really unique and compelling, because it's showing the creativeness.
If you will think the materials that they used, like classic building parts and cargo containers, you can't imagine the result will be like this.
This time if you can see the outside it's kinda not really good but I'm sure the inside part is nice and also unique.
Question, are you sure that it is welded firmly?
If you want to look some design for your house, you can check it out on "look for design" website.
