We have a Pacific Yurt with full winterizing (including snow load kit) in NH. (Vacation yurt). We didn't get it up until November of 2008. Last winter it was difficult to keep warm with our delivered wood. This winter, it's difficult to keep COOL now that the wood is that much more seasoned! I've opened the front door and run out on to the deck in the middle of the night when the wood stove gets going too much! And we chose to go without a well, but do have propane fridge and stove, along with the wood stove for heat. We haul up water in 5 gallon containers. It's comfortable and cozy. Planning the retirement log cabin as well. . .
